WASHINGTON PRELICENSING
Prelicensing Course: ExamFX
Prelicensing courses are offered by many vendors in each state but we have a discounted rate with ExamFX. Follow the instructions below to sign up for your course with our discount.
- ExamFX Sign Up: Go to ExamFX.
- Click the Register link in the top right.
- Your upline/AO should have provided you with an email address to enter under the Special Company Discount Pricing section, enter that email address and click the Next Step button.
- Select Insurance Prelicensing and your resident state.
- Select Life and Health Insurance and click the Next Step button.
- Select the Video Study Package and click the Next Step button.
- You are not required to purchase any add-ons. Click the Continue button.
- Click the New User tab to create your account.
- Fill out your info, agree to the terms & conditions, and enter your payment info.
- Start studying today! Study tip: Take the end of chapter quizzes first for each section. If you ace a quiz without having reviewed that chapter, it’s not a chapter you need to spend a lot of time studying.
- Remember, the state exam is pass/fail – whether you pass with a 79 or a 100, you still pass!
Exam
Washington requires that you complete your pre-licensing course before scheduling your exam.
- Washington insurance exam information can be found here.
- Select WA Insurance in the second drop down.
- Select WA Life and Disability Producer Combo in the second drop down.
- Read all the information on their site to ensure you are adequately prepared on your test date.
Fingerprinting
Digital Fingerprinting information can be found here.
License Application
Do not complete your licensing application until after you have passed the exam and submitted your fingerprints.
- Begin your license application here.
- You are applying for a Resident license.
- You can SKIP any fields that are not required.
- Do not add a DBA.
- Make sure you’re applying for BOTH life and disability lines of authority.
- When prompted to enter business contact info – this still means your contact info. Do not include any contact information for Symmetry or any agency you do not own on your license application. If you do not have separate business contact info, use your regular info.
- Business Entity and Affiliations information – unless you are currently the principal agent of a business entity and are planning to apply for that entity to hold an insurance license, do not include any business entity info on this application. Those fields/sections are not required so you can skip them. Do NOT list Symmetry or any agency you do not own as an affiliated agency.
- Continue to follow the prompts through the end of the application and pay your application fee.
